World Famous Cajun Grill BOURBON Chicken made BETTER!
I sometimes crave things that makes no sense. Today is one of those, if ou been to a mall in the U.S. you see Cajun Grill and most likely you had their famous bourbon chicken. Now here is the recipe and how I made it better.
Ingredients
Bone in Chicken Thigh
Salt
Pepper
Garlic powder
Onion powder
BBQ Bourbon Sauce
4 tbsp Baby Rays BBQ Sauce
1 tbsp Yellow Mustard
1 tsp Sriracha
1 tsp Olive Oil
1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tsp Soy Sauce
3 tbsp Ketchup
2 tsp Garlic Powder
3 tbsp Brown Sugar
¼ Cup Bourbon
Step 1
Season the chicken with Salt, Pepper, Garlic Powder and Onion Powder. Once done it time to bag it up to cook it Sous Vide. Cook the chicken for 2 hrs @167°F / 75°C. While that's cooking it gives you enough time to go and make the sauce.
Step 2
Into a saucepan start by adding 4 tbsp of Baby Rays BBQ Sauce, 1 tbsp Yellow Mustard, 1 tsp Sriracha, 1 tsp Olive Oil, 1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar, 1 tsp Soy Sauce, 3 tbsp Ketchup, 2 tsp Garlic Powder and 3 tbsp Brown Sugar. Mix well to combine everything together.
Step 3
As it starts to simmer add ¼ Cup Bourbon making sure to cook off most of the alcohol. Again mix well to combine everything and your sauce is done.
Step 4
Once the chicken is done cooking Sous Vide it's time to take it out and toss them on the grill to give them a nice sear.
Step 5
While searing them, coat them with some of the BBQ Bourbon sauce to give them the finishing touches and enjoy your BBQ BOURBON CHICKEN!
