I made the famous ITALIAN Steak pizzaiola and it was epic!

Today I am making the Italian steak called steak pizzaiola. It is the perfect combination to go along with an amazing pasta. But most important it is super easy to make this amazing recipe.

Ingredients

Filet Mignon

Salt

Pepper

Garlic Powder

Bucatini Pasta

Pizzaiola Steak Sauce

4 tbsp Olive oil

1 Bell Pepper

4 Tomatoes

1 tbsp Garlic

1 tbsp Shallots

2 tsp Oregano

5 leaves Fresh Basil

1/2 cup Wine to deglaze

3 tbsp Brown Sugar

2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

Directions

Start by seasoning your steaks with salt, freshly ground pepper and garlic powder. Make sure to get both sides including the edges, then bag it in a vacuum bag and cook them sous vide @131°F / 55°C for 2 hours.

Remove the end from your tomatoes then make an X on the other side and place them in boiling water for about 30 seconds. Take them out and peel the tomatoes, then chop them up to get them ready for the sauce.

Add your tomatoes to a pot and keep them on low heat, then using a hand blender blend up your tomatoes but do not liquefy them. Into a pan add 4 tbsp of olive oil and keep it on med-low heat and add 1 tbsp of chopped garlic and 1 tbsp of chopped shallots.

Cook them up until they are nice and golden brown, then add 1 chopped bell pepper and mix well. Then add your blended tomatoes, mix well and keep it on med-high heat for 2 minutes.

After 2 minutes add 5 fresh basil leaves and season with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Mix well and let the sauce reduce on medium heat. Then add 3 tbsp of brown sugar and 2 tsp of oregano. Mix well to combine and then add 2 tbsp of worcestershire sauce.

Keeping it on medium heat let the sauce reduce and them finish by adding salt and pepper to taste. Now to make your pasta, start by cooking your pasta following the instructions on the box. Then in a pan add a good amount of olive oil and 2 thinly sliced cloves of garlic.

Cook the garlic until golden brown then add your cooked pasta and add a little bit of the pasta water. Season with salt and pepper and mix everything around to combine all the ingredients.

Once the steaks are done take them out and pat them dry. Then using the flamethrower sear them to give them a nice crust.

Now all that's left is to plate the steaks on top of the pasta and top them with some of your sauce. Enjoy your delicious STEAK PIZZAIOLA!
