The GREATEST Crispy Fried Chicken I ever made! (2 Ways)
If you love crispy fried chicken, this video is for you. Making this chicken have changed the way I make crispy fried chicken forever. This is not only super crispy but the flavor speaks for itself.
Ingredients
Chicken Thighs
2 Cups All Purpose Flour
1 tbsp Chili Flakes
1 tbsp Black Pepper
1 tbsp Garlic Powder
1 tbsp Salt
Spicy Marinade
2 Cups Butter Milk
1/2 Cup Kimchi Juice
4 tbsp Soy Sauce
1 tbsp Garlic Powder
2 tbsp Chili Flakes
Salt
Pepper
Spicy Sauce
2 tbsp Chili Paste
2 tbsp Honey
1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
1 tbsp Dark Soy
1 tbsp Ketjap Manis
1 tbsp Garlic Paste
2 tbsp Brown Sugar
1 tbsp Chili Flakes
Step 1
Start by making the marinade for your chicken. In a bowl add 2 cups of butter milk, 1/2 cup of kimchi juice, 4 tbsp of soy sauce, 1 tbsp of garlic powder, 2 tbsp of chili flakes and salt and pepper to taste.
Step 2
Mix everything well and, then add it to a vacuum bag with your chicken. Make sure every piece of chicken is fully covered in the marinade. Then cook them sous vide @167°F / 75°C for 2 hours.
Step 3
While the chicken is cooking make a spicy sauce. In a pan add 2 tbsp of chili paste, 2 tbsp of honey, 1 tbsp of rice vinegar, 1 tbsp of dark soy sauce, 1 tbsp of ketjap manis, 1 tbsp of garlic paste, 2 tbsp of brown sugar and 1 tbsp of chili flakes. Keeping it on low heat mix for about 5 minutes and your sauce is done.
Step 4
Once your chicken is done take them out of the bag and put it in a bowl. On a baking tray add 2 cups of al purpose flour, 1 tbsp of chili flakes, 1 tbsp of black pepper, 1 tbsp of garlic powder and 1 tbsp of salt.
Step 5
Coat each piece of chicken with the flour then deep fry them in oil until they are nice and golden brown.
Step 6
Take them out and add your spicy sauce over top and your KOREAN CRISPY FRIED CHICKEN is done. ENJOY!
